First week of work
I was reading the paper while eating breakfast this morning when I read the sports headlines and they said that Morientes was going to make his debut for Liverpool against Man U today. I was like, What the? WHEN DID HE MOVE TO LIVERPOOL?!!! I've been ignoring football for so long that I didn't even realize Nando had moved!!! I mean, it was recent, but it still came as a shock...The point is, I should have seen it coming...Liverpool had been eyeing him forever and Real M has ignored him for so long it was bound to happen...So, ladies & gentlemen, let me introduce to you the latest converted Liverpudlian...yours truly!!! *applause*
Okay, on to more 'me-related' happenings...the first day of work was alright I guess. I didn't have a thing to do so I got a little bored...but at the end of the day while closing up I was given some things to do so that was ok. Now that it's the end of the week, I can proudly say that the staff at work are an extremely nice and friendly bunch and they've helped me more or less settle in to work environment. And I haven't really done much, just little tasks here and there but from what I've seen, once I seriously start work, I think it's going to be loads of fun! :D Anyway, I'm going to have lunch with my colleagues later at Dynasty so woo-hoo! Plus I've got today and Monday off! Woo-hoo!
OH btw, I met my twin while reporting for duty!!! I was sitting there waiting for the officer to whom I was supposed to report to when this guy came in and sat in the same area as me. While filling in the forms, I looked over to what he wrote and I noticed that he wrote '20/06/86' for his birthday..I was like, "Oh my god! Your birthday's on the 20th of June too?!" And he looked up at me, probably thinking what's this nutjob talking about? (haha) but then he saw I wrote '20/06/86' under DOB too...AND we were starting work on the same day! What a coincidence right?! But it turned out we were going to be in different branches of the bank so I didn't get an oppurtunity to get to know him better. But at least I got to meet him! :D I've never met anyone who has the same birthday as me!!! Same year and everything!!! Anyway, I'm going to go get ready for the lunch now so...toodles!~
