Blog-drought
Assalamualaikum, what's new my homies?
Apologies for the lack of posts this past month as I bask in enjoying my time here back in the hot, humid, inefficiently-run country where those that are nearest and dearest to my heart resides, aka Brunei Darussalam. But I cannot resent this country too much. Alhamdulillah, the government has after all, granted me the scholarship (cue celebratory music).
As a result, I have spent the past week running around the country getting my medical check done so that the MOE knows that I'm not on drugs, or pregnant, or disabled that would deem me inappopriate to study overseas. *tch* Duh. Where have I been the past year? Again, I should not resent this country so much cause now I get to live in Australia, which is paid for by Oil money. I love oil. And Alhamdulillah, Brunei has a lot of it so that they can send me to Australia, another country with a lot of minerals. I'm blabbering.
I miss Australia. As much as I miss Brunei, I miss hot Australian guys. I miss how I can jump on a tram to visit my friends. I miss the little cafe below my apartment. I miss the little 7-11esque store below my apartment (I can't remember what it's called!). I DON'T miss Australian TV and I DON'T miss how my apartment is in constant darkness, but everything else overrules all that shizz. But I shouldn't sit here moaning about how I miss good old Aussie when I'm sitting here in the dark in front of my PC in my room cause once I'm back there I know I'll miss the embrace of the cold wind of the AC as I seek refuge from the hot and humid weather of Brunei. I know I'll miss waking up to a breakfast all prepared. And I'll miss Astro. How the hell am I going to follow Rockstar Supernova now? Tommy Lee is the shizz, y'alls.
Some things I should mention about my time here in Brunei:
-About a week after arriving I hopped on the plane again to accompany my dad to S'pore for a three-day trip
-The World Cup screwed up my body clock so half the time here I've been running on German time
-I have not done half the things I planned to do while I was here
-I have yet to meet up with a load of my friends :(
-I have YET to WATCH a fricking movie!
-I rooted for Germany to go all the way after Spain was booted (Klinsi is the BOMB y'all)
-I rooted for France to win, but I find Italians make good underwear models ;) (Congrats italy!)
-I have recovered from World Cup fever but I have yet to find out why Zidane head-butted Materazzi
I'm exhausted. Laters!~
PS Happy belated birthday Grandma, Sultan, Grandpa and Happy Birthday to Ashes :)
