*warning: do not read and drive*
Assalamulakum everyone! I'd like to wish everyone "Selamat Hari Raya Maaf Zahir dan Batin" and though it's 6 days late, as the adage goes, it's better late than never...
Raya in Melbourne fell on Monday and this Raya, personally, has been more memorable and enjoyable than last year. It's got more "meriah-ness", partly due to there being so many in attendance. Open houses this year were held at St. Kilda Road, Spring Street and Bourke Street (respectively). Many thanks to the hosts, as it put many Melburnians in the celebrating mood...The bajus, the food and the deco were awesome! Sorely missing, however, is the Baju Cara Melayu + Sinjang combo as the guys here did not bring over any :( It's okay though as I saw a (M'sian?) guy in his baju m. with his wife on Swanston the other day :)
Anyway, after the third day, it was back to hitting the books. It is now Saturday and two days away from exams. OMG. I'm getting really worried. I spent the last two days in the state library, but I feel like I haven't done anything productive!...I probably haven't done enough :s I skipped out on today's session cause when I stuck my hand out the window it was freezing and I couldn't bear to drag my ass out. So I have officially wasted a third of my day falling back to sleep, making "brunch" and bumming out in front of the laptop and telly, despite there not being anything except races in cars and on horses.
Oh, my dad txted me this morning telling me it's Open House at home. *Sob* *Wail*. No fun. I not there! Never moind. I've had my fair share of crying this Raya. Yea, another thing about this year's Raya. More tears, for no inexplicable reason. Maybe that first year luan sakai to cry kali ah? Oh, btw - Syubs and his air force friends have arrived in Melbourne and managed to join us on the first and third day. And thanks to Jirin for giving me a call on the third day! Muchos appreciated, nephew! :D And also - ASHHYYYY!!! It was great to talk to you even if it was for like a minute hehehe.....I'm a wee bit busy to sort out my photos of the raya here, so will update the pics after exams (one week ++ to freedom!!!). OK, I think I should go back to the books:
30.10
9.30am - Financial Modelling
2.30pm - Strategic Management
2.11
9.30am - Corporation Law and Trusts
6.11
2.30pm - Corporate Crime
6.11
5.30pm - FREEDOM!
Hope people out there are having a better raya than I am...For those as unfortunate as me to be having exams, good luck!
