Assalamualaikum peoples.
This is probably like the first Sunday (other than that one BOOOORING one two weeks back) where I have not come home wanting to collapse into bed. I am no less exhausted though. Lessee, lemme sum up the week then expand from there:
Monday - woke up late to enjoy the benefits of having a cancelled class
Tuesday - went to the stupid Data analysis lecture
Wednesday - switched geek mode on and studied with Mun Maya and Cher at Starbucks (EVEN though i was pining for a new bag) - followed by a very.funny.conversation
Thursday - Geek mode still on, studied at the library and met up with people cause Ka Nadz was here from Qent' for Syubs' graduation-type thing - followed by a very.funny.conversation
Friday - Uni
Saturday - Lunch gathering for Bruneians at Es Teler, followed by bag hunting at DF-Oy, followed by the latest Mr Bean flick
Sunday - "farewell" lunch for the army guys (read:Syubs) at St Kilda Beach
Anyway, I have to say, the two days off I had this week was very productive. By my definition, productive is where I meet people I like to have very funny conversations. Wednesday evening I chatted with Nubz(later joined by Zie) from 7pm to 3am, mind you and our conversation did not follow the normal rules of what a conversation should constitute. The word of the night may have been majal but it was more like RANDOM.
Skali the following evening went to Max Brenner's for drinks cause as I mentioned, Ka Nadz was in town. We followed that up with dinner at Nando's. Sdah tah the previous evening aku terkikik-kikik, that evening lagi. Ntah ah, something was in the air. A slice of the conversation from that evening:
me (to Ka Nadz who looked very Middle-Easternish in her pashmina and tudung) - "Where you kam from ha?"
Ka Nadz - "From (H)england!"
me - "oh, whereabouts from (H)england? Qent'?"
Pokoknya CALI lah if I story in real life. Web story telling no fun. Becali nda menjadi. Like it falls flat on your face. Mcm, I was setting up you guys for a funny story jua tu and by the end you guys are prob like, "ah iatah ganya tu?". Sumtimes, nothing beats a good old fashioned story telling session in front of real people no?
Moving on, Saturday there was a gathering at Es Teler for the Bruneians. I was uber surprised to find the place packed chock full of Bruneians, an estimated 60 showed up. Like huh, I have never seen so many Bruneians in one place at Melbourne - mcm the number of people that showed up was more than the number of Bruneians I've seen since I arrived in Melbourne combined (that's almost 2 bloody years!).
Speaking of bloody - apparently the Brits have banned the latest Aussie tourism ad cause they used the word bloody in it. ("So where the bloody hell are you?" is the tagline). JADINYA. CANA TAH ORG UK TAU AUSTRALIA EXIST NI? Lol. We have to keep the UK people aware the Aussies exist IN ORDER TO remind them to come visit us. I miss them UK people bah so sue me.
Anyway I finally ended my search for a new bag as of yesterday when I went to DFO(that's Dee-Ef-Oy in Aus-speak). I am happy! Weee. But now I want a cardigan from Sussan. Cana kan tu. Nubz says my wallet mcm bulimic. Mcm baru berisi and then kluar tia. True story jua tu.
Oh I have to mention FINA was hosted here in Melbourne. That means, for the past few weeks, Melbourne has been infested with tall, usually hot, broad-shouldered men e.g when I went to grab dinner on Friday evening, there were two Hot Uruguay-an participants on the street.
Mcm it would not be weird to see a person this hot on the streets the past few weeks. Unfortunately, my experience did not include this particularly hot looking fellow (he's my favourite to "see" *cough cough* - he's from the States) I mostly saw participants from China. Boo.
You know who I haven't seen in a while?
His movie Zodiac comes out on the 19th of April here. HURRY, NA LANG. ANO, si Siti wants to watch her boyfrriend in the theatrre. 300 alum buka ah. Apparently Gerry Butler (King Leonidas) is with Naomi Campbell. Hampa ku eh. When I saw the photos on PITNB I was like "nooooooo! Don't do it Gerry! she is the devil woman! she will throw phones at you!!!" tapi apakan daya, I am resigned to my destiny of merely yelling at my unanimated laptop screen.
Whoa. I have not written a post this long in a while. This is how I get when I'm in a blogging mood. Neways, that's enough of my random ramblings. I'm starving and I need dinner. Ciao!
