Assalamualaikum all,
It's been a week since my last post! Since then I've caught both the Killers and the Phantom play and started classes for the summer sem. It's crazy...everything's moving at such a fast pace! Like, it's Wednesday tia sudah, have already attended almost half of my required classes.
Evidence of time passing by quickly - Kayms balik this morning - time to find a new HQ! Sedih eh, nada lagi lepak di rumahnya ani. Best part was she only lived like 5 mins away so I always had the option of going over if i got the slightest hint of boredom. SOB. Apakan mcm tah nda bejumpa di Brunei! I swear though I've seen the girls so much this semester keunjaran if I don't see them for a long prd of time.
Okay so I thought I'd cerita a bit about the events that I've gone to. Melbourne is so happening, there's always something to do. It's hard to catch up with everything that goes on here, there's always somewhere to go or somewhere to be. And seeing as nothing ever happens back home, I say you should take advantage of the things that happen here.
The Killers concert which was on the 14th of Nov. was so effing good! I wasn't a huge fan of theirs but got hooked earlier this year with their album "Sam's Town". Gila, the show was just amazing. They opened with Sam's Town and there was this huge white cloth covering the stage. When the band was about to start, they had a montage of black and white clips which tied in with their whole Sam's Town concept. Skali when the band started to play and Brandon started to sing the cloth dropped. I nearly cried when I heard the band play some of my fave songs live and Mr Brandon Flowers has fantastic showmanship. I use every opportunity I can to demonstrate his crazy jumping around on stage antics - mcm Red Indian/African tribal dance. SIOK GILA. And the confetti of gold and blue that burst from the stage at the beginning of the show was amazing to see. The light show was amazing, the stage had these Christmassy lights going on. There was a corn and rabbit running around on stage. It was just crazy!!! Definitely one of my favourite concerts.
And last night went to the Phantom of the Opera. Now I've seen the film and thought it was lawa enough, but its main attraction was always Gerry for me. Skali, last night. OMG. The actors' voices, their projection was just so fricking AMAZING. The live orchestra. The special effects. Gila tah banar. The whole time I was just awe-struck watching everything. Watching a play in a theatre is an experience like no other. Bari kambang bulu tah banar. I cannot get over how lawa their voices were. And the stage set and pukuknya EVERYTHING lah amazing. When I got back, watched the movie again and I appreciated it more...but the play wins hands down...if i got the opportunity I'd watch it again yo.
Couldn't take pics from inside but here are a couple of pics we took from outside:

Nah ngantuk ku balik. I have to do work for tomorrow's class. Gila having to work everyday ani. Intensive banar course ah. BUt at the end of the thing - it'll be some reward!
